Rehabilitation and long-term hospitalisation following acute illness
As an inpatient you will spend the entire hospitalisation period within our private healthcare facility, which is where all treatments will be carried out.
Inpatient care is recommended in the following cases:
- illnesses of the central or peripheral nervous systems
- orthopaedic and traumatological rehabilitation
- illnesses of the muscular/skeletal system
- illnesses of the respiratory tract
- cardio-vascular illnesses
Inpatient treatment is determined:
- by the hospital doctor, who makes his or her recommendation to us directly or through healthcare assistants
- by all doctors working for the Healthcare Authorities
Inpatients undergoing post-acute rehabilitation are confined to bed following treatment for an acute illness in hospital or following outpatient treatment. Our rehabilitation team designs and implements a treatment plan that is tailored to meet the needs of each individual inpatient. The plan includes three or more hours of treatment per day, depending on the age of the patient and the acuteness of the illness.
In relation to long-term hospitalisation following acute illness, inpatients receive one or more hours of treatment per day, depending on the age of the patient and the acuteness of the illness. The treatments are provided by a team of professionals who are dedicated to giving the patient all the care that he or she needs.
Inpatient rehabilitation is arranged by prior telephone booking. We aim to offer all patients a bed as soon as possible.
